Onicomycosis | Nails

Onychomycosis is an infection caused by fungi that reach the nails. These fungi feed on keratin, the protein that forms most nails. The feet are the most affected because they face humid, dark and warm environments ideal for fungal proliferation.



Need for rest time 
There is no need.  
Between 15 to 30 minutes. The duration depends on the area to be treated.  
The treatment method radiates heat in an anti-inflammatory action, destroying the fungus that causes the pathology. In addition to not causing damage to nails or skin, the equipment brings results in a few sessions.

Postoperative care 
It is not necessary to rest after treatment, being able to do daily routine. Avoid sun exposure and physical exercise on the day of treatment. The use of comfortable and decontaminated footwear is recommended on the day of the procedure and the following days.  
Expected effects 
You will feel a slight discomfort that will disappear in 2 to 3 days.  
Pregnant or breastfeeding women. Patients who have had some form of herpes will have to undergo preventive treatment beforehand. Epilepsy. Pregnancy. Blood diseases (leukemia, anemia). Patients with photosensitive drug therapies.  
Number of treatments 
On average, 3 treatment sessions are required.
